Our Vision

At the DTI Foundation, our mission is to address the growing need for an open, publicly available, reliable, and globally recognized standard for the identification of digital tokens. As Registration Authority for ISO 24165 (DTI), we provide a comprehensive and authoritative source of reference data to support regulatory compliance, transparency, and security within the digital asset space.

Our Core Principles

Non-Profit

The DTI Foundation issues and manages DTIs on a non-profit basis, ensuring that as the adoption of the standard grows, the costs for market participants decrease.

Open Data

The DTI Foundation provides a free service for downloading and using DTIs and Name fields under an open license, allowing this data to be freely reproduced, utilized, transmitted, or expanded upon by anyone for both commercial and non-commercial purposes.

Transparency

The DTI Foundation invites market participants and regulators to join our Product Advisory Committee (PAC) to provide guidance on the implementation of the standard, cost recovery, and industry feedback. The agenda and meeting minutes are publicly available on our website.

Interoperability

The DTI Foundation collaborates with Registration Authorities of other ISO standards, including the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) and the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF), to ensure that the DTI standard complements their respective standards.
