IRS publishes instructions for crypto tax Form 1099-DA; requests comments

 

The DTI Foundation responded to the US Internal Revenue Service’s request for comment on the draft Instructions for Form 1099-DA for Digital Asset Proceeds From Broker Transactions. Our response supports the proposed adoption of the DTI standard and emphasises the open and accessible nature of DTI codes and names, as well as their governance framework.
